This rare interview of Jim Henson explains his views on the future of video and cable in entertainment productions. Always an innovator in his works, he was willing to try some new special effect. Henson also discusses his classic The Dark Crystal . He does this discussing high resolution. What we have today is high definition format. He was in a sense predicting a format and technology that would become prominent in the 21st century. Jim Henson states that cable would also advance and that he would only do movies for television if the resolution was higher. The interesting part of this interview is that Jim Henson reveals he was an artist interested in design. He did not have a direct influence, but admits he did like Disney cartoons.
